I am in the Big Apple!! Today I flew to New York City to visit my boyfriend, Joe. I knew the city was big, but I had no idea it would be so expansive!! Flying in was really cool as the plane gave us a good view of the city... and more city... and more city! I couldn't stop smiling as we got closer and I was just so so excited to see Joe!
I'll keep this short- I want to make the most of my precious few days with Joe! But I did want to share pictures because I got to do some cool stuff tonight! I arrived early evening, and we met one of my long-time TSA friends, Sanjay, who I was a National Officer with. We grabbed dinner at a taco place just up the road from the building where Joe and Sanjay both live (what a great coincidence that in this great big city they happen to be in the same building!) and it was great to catch up!
Then Joe and I set off to explore the city! Joe took me to all of the classic touristy areas for my first night here. I didn't get pictures of everything (I'm trying to make a video of my trip so I got some clips of different places- wait for my return to Colorado to see these!). Tonight we saw the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, the original 8 story Macy's, Times Square, Bryant Park, Rockefeller Center, and the outside of the original New York Public Library. Below are a few pictures from wandering around the city tonight. It sure is good to be with Joe and I can't wait for what tomorrow's adventures will bring!
